Problem

The problem is that ex-felons face many difficulies when it comes to trying to find employment. Particulary many have been removed from society for so long that they do not possess the correct knowledge and skills to make themselves more hireable.

Content

We want to provide them with those important skills relating to multiple aspects of finding employment, whether it be how to apply for a job or behave in an interview, to what is proper business attire, to even how to manage their finances, we'll cover everything they need to know.

Design Process

Working with Coursera, we aim to provide all the knowledge that they may need to know, and intend to provide them ways to practice and imporve their skills to ensure that they are ready to reintigrate into society.

Specification

Various Lessons

There will be several different lessons provided: One on how and where to search for jobs and how to apply, one about everything a candidate would need to know about interviews and how to study for them, a lesson on several important things to know about business workplace etiquettte such as how to dress, another on what it is to be a professional and how to act like one, and a final lesson covering more miscellaneous life topics such as financial management.

Weekly Video Lectures

Lessons will include seveeral video lectures created by knowledgable professionals. These lectures will cover several topics pertaining to the specific lesson itself and will aim to break down the idea into its simplest form and provide viewpoints from multiple angles to ensure that almost any person can understand.

Accomponying Activities

Complementary to the videos, activities provide another way for users to apply skills that are taught.

Scenarios

Scenarios will provide possible situations users may find themselves in. These will help them better understand what they may encounter in the future and learn to adapt early and quickly.

Tests To Ensure Comprehension

Tests will be provided at the middle and end of lessons to ensure user comprehensions to give users a bench mark on information retention.
